Biobased DHAP and methylglyoxal
Biotech Fine Chemicals France (BFC) is a biotech startup that has developed an innovative biobased strategy, to allow the production of a platform molecule: DHAP and a co-product, methylglyoxal. This renewable DHAP can be easily derived into phosphorylated sugars, which finds applications in chemistry, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry. The innovative process allows BFC France to compete with chemical production of DHAP and derivatives with a bio-based strategy.
BFC will benefit of the support from the SuperBIO consortium in order to help them to construct its value chain: they will collaborate with a German producer of raw material and with a French company active in animal feed. Their first objective is to protect their new process with the help of our partner GJE.
