FROM MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE TO VALUE

Fiberight has developed an innovative and novel process to recycle and fractionate municipal solid waste overcoming the challenges associated with a heterogeneous waste stream. One of the fractions is a cellulose-rich fibre fraction which is used as a substrate for 2nd generation, industrial biotechnology compatible, sugars. SuperBIO supports their value chain which consists of a municipal solid waste provider from the UK and an end-user using sugar into their production of resin binders for their insulation products (Knauf Insulation, DE).

TEE and market research through SuperBIO will allow Fiberight to conclusively determine whether the value chain should be pursued and optimized, and resources and funds committed accordingly
