National Non-Food Crop Center

NNFCC is a specialist Bioeconomy consultancy based in York, UK.

Our mission is to provide clients with a holistic view of feedstock, technology, policy and market development across the bioeconomy, enabling them to make informed business decisions and develop sustainable business strategies.

NNFCC was originally established by the UK Government in 2003 to provide expert and impartial advice to business and the public sector on the development of the bioeconomy. We have developed as private non-profit research and technology organisation and grown to become a leading UK consultancy.

The NNFCC management team has over 60 years of bioeconomy experience and is supported by a team with a broad blend of skills and industrial backgrounds covering agriculture, biology, environmental science, energy engineering, chemistry, materials and polymer science.

This diversity gives NNFCC a unique perspective on the development of the bioeconomy, the interaction between energy, fuel and material markets and the importance of environmental and social impacts.

NNFCC is proud of its heritage and maintains its position in the marketplace through its membership of key trade bodies and professional organisations.
